About PsychoProfil.pl

PsychoProfil.pl is an independent educational service offering online psychological tests. We make validated self-discovery instruments available in 9 languages — free, with no account required and without selling your data.

Our mission

Solid psychometrics should not sit behind a paywall or be dumbed down into clickbait quizzes. Scientifically validated questionnaires — the Big Five, Holland's RIASEC model, the PHQ-9 and dozens more — were created through publicly funded research, and we believe everyone should be able to use them in their own language, with honest interpretation of the results.

Methodology

Every test in the catalogue goes through the same process:

  • We only use public-domain or openly licensed instruments with published validation studies (e.g. IPIP, PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSS-10). The source and authors are cited on every test page.
  • We translate test items into 9 languages, staying faithful to the original meaning while keeping the language natural — and where an instrument has established local adaptations, we follow the accepted terminology.
  • Scores are computed with the published scoring keys and cutoffs (e.g. PHQ-9 screening thresholds: 5/10/15/20) — and we show those cutoffs openly on the test page before you start.
  • Clinical instruments (e.g. depression or anxiety screeners) are flagged as sensitive: they are excluded from result-sharing mechanics, and crisis helpline numbers are shown with the results.

Editorial principles

Educational content (blog, glossary, test comparisons) is written from the scientific literature. Clinical test pages include a "Sources" section citing the validation studies and a visible content-update date. When we find an error, we fix it and update the date. Content drafted with AI assistance is editorially reviewed before publication.

Independence & funding

The service is funded by unobtrusive ads and optional paid PDF reports. All tests and results are free. We do not sell personal data and do not send spam — the (optional) account exists solely to save your own results.

What our tests do NOT do

No test on this site provides a diagnosis. A self-report questionnaire — however well validated — only indicates the intensity of symptoms or traits at a given moment. Only a professional can diagnose, in direct contact. If your results worry you, treat them as a prompt to talk to a professional — helpline numbers are listed on our disclaimer page.
