Well-being

What is well-being?

Well-being is the subjective sense of life satisfaction and quality. Diener defined three components: life satisfaction, positive emotions, and low negative emotions. Seligman added: meaning, relationships, achievement (PERMA).

Why does it matter?

Well-being predicts better health, longer life, stronger relationships, and higher productivity. It's not a luxury — it's a foundation.

How is it measured?

SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale, Diener), PIL (Purpose in Life), GQ-6 (gratitude).
