What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to recognize, understand, use and regulate emotions. Popularized by Goleman, scientific foundations by Salovey and Mayer with four branches: perceiving, using, understanding and managing emotions.
Why is EQ important?
EQ is a better predictor of success than IQ in many contexts, especially leadership and relationships.
