What is attachment style?

A pattern of forming bonds, shaped in early childhood. Bowlby created the theory, Ainsworth identified three styles: secure, anxious-ambivalent and avoidant. A fourth, disorganized, was added later.

Why does it matter?

Influences romantic relationships, friendships and well-being in adult life.

How is it measured?

ECR-R, ASQ and RQ.
