What is anxiety?

Anxiety signals threat. In moderate intensity it's adaptive. When excessive or chronic, it can become an anxiety disorder.

Types

Most common: GAD, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety and PTSD. They affect about 30% of the population over a lifetime.

How is anxiety measured?

GAD-7, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and STAI.
